SPORTS

Whether you are an elite athlete or a weekend warrior, we have a range of services that can help you with injury prevention and management, rehabilitation and treatment of many common sporting injuries.

These include: 

 

  • Muscle strains such as hamstring, groin or calf strains

  • Ligament sprains such as a rolled ankle

  • Hip, knee and leg injuries. 

  • Shin splints

  • Shoulder and elbow injuries

  • Recurring injuries
     

Prevention is always better than cure, which is why your practitioner will examine the entire body to ensure there are no muscle imbalances or strain patterns that may increase the chance of injury in the first place. If you are unfortunate enough to suffer a sporting injury it is vital to receive the best treatment and management advice possible.  This is why your Osteopath will take the time to thoroughly assess your injury, give you advice on home management to help speed up recovery, devise a treatment and rehabilitation program specifically for you and discuss how to prevent the injury from occurring again through the use of stretching or strengthening programs. 
If required you may be sent for x-rays or referred to your GP or sports physician for a further opinion.
